As a Paediatric OT you will:

  • Administer assessments to identify the supports needed for the individual.

  • Develop and implement personalised therapy plans in collaboration with the individual, caregivers, and other professionals.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and adjust therapy goals as required.

  • Manage a diverse caseload.

  • Provide education and coaching to families to help them implement strategies at home.

  • Use evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality therapy services.

  • Participate in team meetings and supervision.

  • Be given opportunities to share your ideas that enhance the lives of others. 

  • Have access to a range of assessments & resources. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with NDIS requirements.

  • Stay informed about research on Occupational Therapy and neurodiversity. 

Desirable Skills:

  • Effective time management.

  • Experience working primarily with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, ADHD, and challenges with motor skills.

  • Experience working with families. 

  • Ability to provide clinical reasoning.

  • Understanding of the NDIS framework and requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

  • Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

  • Current membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.

  • Working With Children Check.

  • Driver’s licence.
