As a Paediatric OT you will:
Administer assessments to identify the supports needed for the individual.
Develop and implement personalised therapy plans in collaboration with the individual, caregivers, and other professionals.
Monitor, evaluate, and adjust therapy goals as required.
Manage a diverse caseload.
Provide education and coaching to families to help them implement strategies at home.
Use evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality therapy services.
Participate in team meetings and supervision.
Be given opportunities to share your ideas that enhance the lives of others.
Have access to a range of assessments & resources.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with NDIS requirements.
Stay informed about research on Occupational Therapy and neurodiversity.
Desirable Skills:
Effective time management.
Experience working primarily with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, ADHD, and challenges with motor skills.
Experience working with families.
Ability to provide clinical reasoning.
Understanding of the NDIS framework and requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Current membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
Working With Children Check.
Driver’s licence.
