The role involves performing a broad range of diagnostic, maintenance, repair, and modification tasks in line with industry standards. <h3>Benefits</h3>Competitive salary package aligned with experience&nbsp;Opportunity to work on specialised 4x4 builds and custom projects&nbsp;Supportive, skilled, and passionate team environment&nbsp;Career development opportunities within a growing automotive business&nbsp;Exposure to a diverse range of vehicles and advanced aftermarket systems&nbsp; <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>In this role, you will be required to:Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles and 4x4 systems using appropriate diagnostic equipment and technical manuals&nbsp;Carry out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking systems, and driveline components&nbsp;Perform scheduled servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including oil changes, fluid checks, and component inspections&nbsp;Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle components, ensuring all parts are tested and functioning correctly&nbsp;Inspect vehicles and identify worn or defective parts, recommending appropriate repairs or replacements&nbsp;Install, test, and maintain 4x4 accessories and modifications, including but not limited to:&nbsp;Suspension upgrades (lift kits, shock absorbers)&nbsp;Bull bars, winches, roof racks, and underbody protection&nbsp;Dual battery systems and auxiliary electrical setups&nbsp;Conduct electrical installations and fault-finding, including wiring, lighting systems, and aftermarket accessories&nbsp;Perform full 4x4 vehicle fit-outs, ensuring integration between mechanical and electrical components&nbsp;Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines, including relevant Australian Design Rules (ADR) where applicable&nbsp;Maintain accurate service records and job documentation&nbsp;Communicate with team members and customers regarding repair requirements and timelines&nbsp;&nbsp; <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic (2–3+ years highly desirable)&nbsp;Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)&nbsp;Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing across a range of vehicle systems&nbsp;Experience or strong interest in 4x4 vehicles and aftermarket modifications (highly regarded)&nbsp;Sound knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems&nbsp;Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail&nbsp;Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment&nbsp;Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Role We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. This is a full-time role involving both in-store tyre fitting and on-site/roadside service work. You’ll be working on a wide range of vehicles including trucks, cars, utes, and machinery.
