Glamour Locks Hair Salon Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Hairdresser to join its professional team at its Salon in Windsor, NSW, 2756. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive hairdressing services, deliver personalised consultations, and maintain high standards of workplace hygiene and customer care. The role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon setting.

Task & responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations to understand preferences, assess hair and scalp condition, and recommend suitable cuts, colours, treatments, and retail hair care products.
• Cleanse clients’ hair and apply appropriate scalp treatments while maintaining strict salon hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Cut hair using scissors and clippers to achieve a range of classic and contemporary styles.
• Apply and monitor chemical treatments, including colouring, lightening, straightening, and permanent waving solutions, ensuring safe handling and correct processing times, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Style hair for everyday wear and special occasions, including blow-drying, setting, braiding, dreadlocks, and hair extension application.
• Clean, sanitise, and maintain tools, equipment, and workstations to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Managing client bookings, maintaining appointment records, and processing payments.
• Handling and styling wigs or hairpieces when necessary.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Demonstrated practical experience in a salon environment.
• Sound knowledge of chemical application processes and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Professional presentation and commitment to client service excellence.
